Young Chinese American designer Vivienne Hu has been named as a 2016 Swarovski Collective designer, so there is no surprise that her Spring/Summer collection featured plenty of stunning crystals. I was invited to attend the show this year and in person it was most evident that every crystal was thoughtfully placed like secret glimmering detail upon satin and silks. Hu is known for her mix of modern meets feminine, which was exemplified beautifully in loosely sleek gowns and off-the-shoulder jumpsuits. The standout of the collection, aside from the Swarovski crystals, were Hu's use of pastels that added a note of delicacy to the more structured elements of the collection.
