Kwak Ji Young Stars in Phuong My Spring Summer 2014 Campaign
What better way to show off gorgeous wool silk dresses featuring delicate floral embellishments than a blossoming garden? OK, this is probably just some glued together flower wall within a downtown studio, but the campaign is so beautifully shot by Zhang Jingna that I am undoubtedly lost in the fantasy. Since Kwak Ji Young signed to Wilhelmina New York her career has taken off in a major way. From editorials in the top fashion publications to walking in both the Chanel Fall-Winter 2014 and Chanel Cruise 2015 shows, the statuesque South-Korean model is unstoppable. The other superstar of this campaign is the elegant Phuong My Spring Summer 2014 collection itself. The collection plays with strong structural elements, such as the ‘hourglass’ dress, along with softer textures like polyester organza in a pastel and earthy color palette. This is the sort of genius that happens with a stylist becomes a designer. Consumers will soon be able to shop the full collection at phuongmy.com.
