On the Nappa Dori website it describes the brand as, “…a
tribute to quintessential Indian sensibilities, blended perfectly with
contemporary interpretations in design, material and craftsmanship." I
couldn’t have said it better myself. Nappa Dori is a fashion house based out of
Delhi, India that specializes in creating beautifully handcrafted
leather goods. Gautam Sinha founded the brand in 2010 and since developed a
following as well as notoriety from various prestigious publications such as
Elle Décor, and the Holy Grail of all fashion magazines, Vogue. The brand’s
name, Nappa Dori, translates to “leather and thread” which is homage to the meticulous
craftsmanship behind the luxurious designs.
It was difficult for me to pick which pieces were my favorites
to feature because there are so many amazing things and endless options. I
highly encourage you to head over to www.nappadori.com and check out their vast array
of leather goods in price points of $85-450. If not for the mere beauty of the
products, then for the philanthropic cause behind them; a portion of the
profits will go to Harmony House,
a non-profit community center for women and children living within
Delhi slums. I don't think incentives to purchase get any better than that.
